Full description
These gorgeous earrings feature oval cabochons of carnelian - a variety of chalcedony coloured by traces of iron oxide. It was widely used in Greek and Roman times to make seal rings, for imprinting on wax. Carnelian is a July birthstone. These stones are a lovely strawberry red colour that reminds me of Rowntree's Fruit Gums! They measure 10x8mm and have been set in sterling silver bezel cups. The posts and scrolls are also of sterling, stamped '925'. I have a matching ring available in my shop, stock number R98 (see last photo).
These earrings are firmly mounted on card as shown in one of the photos, and will be packaged in an attractive gift box or bag. They will be despatched by Royal mail first class delivery. I can add a small gift card with your own message if you wish - just add a note to the order.
