Full description
The shape of this unique, hand-stitched pincushion was inspired by those pretty coloured macaroons and was beautifully fulfilled using the lids of peanut butter jars as a base. I've made three of them and all of them feature vintage cottons with crisp, floral prints, wide lace trim, hand stitching and beading.
These are MUCH bigger than my usual pincushions but probably normal size to everyone else - hence 'Bigger than Miniature' to describe the size. They are actually 3" x 1.5" (8x4cm).
This one is in a beautiful cotton fabric in crisp mint green and white, the trim is silky vintage lingerie lace from the 1930s in a gorgeous dark jade green. I've back-stitched the lace to the cushion with white vintage crochet thread and the tiny pearly beads are from a broken necklace.
You will recieve your pincushion boxed and with a selection of pins as you see in the photographs.
