I love to reclyce or upclyce and when my very out of date accounts book fall apart I wanted to create something useful out of it. I also enjoy paper mache and always adore handmade notebooks, journals and scrapbooks.

Full description
A small scrapbook Journal or Large Notebook created from upcylced and new materials. This is a hard cover book with a finale covering of paper mache from the pages of a, out dated fallen apart Accounts books. It has been glazed with a solution of pva glue with a green tinge. Then I gave it another coating of paper mache around the edges and coated the cover once again with a pva glue this time without the tint. I have also used the same paper mache and pva glue finish on the inside cover.
Down the spine of the book I have attached a series of different colour glass and plastic beads.
The book contains three signatures all containing a mix of reclaimed paper and card as well as new paper and card stock. Some of the pages are plain white, other’s are coloured, graph, lined, painted, patterned some are also made from handmade textured paper. Each signature is hand sewn together in dark green embroidery thread.
Approximate size 7.5inches (19cm) long by 6.5inches (16.5cm) wide by 1.5inches (3.7cm) deep across the spine.
