Full description

Pewter fish brooch / pin with a deeply etched intricate pattern. This is what the well dressed fish about the pond is wearing today......................... a unique and original design by Sharon Dickinson.

All brooches are limited editions and are signed or stamped on the back.

The length of the brooch is approximately, and the height is approximately,

I hand craft each and every item in my Folksy shop.

This brooch is made from fine English Pewter. I polish to give the metal and a high sheen then I give it some colour by carefully patinating with a combination of surface treatments. The brooch is then re polished which gives a beautiful vintage look to the metal. I really enjoy working in pewter, the colour is so mellow and the metal has a lovely warm feel when you hold it.

I use clasps made from hard wearing steel, with a secure roller fastening. My brooch bars are carefully pinned and then soldered to the back of the brooch which makes them really secure.

Making is my full time job. I live in the beautiful Vale of Belvoir in the English countryside, where I have my home workshop.

Wholesale enquiries are welcome.
