This is one of my new designs for Spring 2014, a little leaping terrier chasing a butterfly.

The little dog is made from mohair which I have hand-coloured. He has traditional glass eyes and is mounted on an old chair spring. He measures approx. 23cm from his front paws to his back paws.

The butterfly is made from hand-painted osnaburg and black velvet. It has been mounted on some rusty wire and fixed into the distressed, painted wooden block.

The wooden block measures approx 18cm long and 11.5cm wide. The piece measures approx. 18cm from the top of the dog's head to the base of the wooden block.

The little dog and the butterfly's body were stitched on an old Singer treadle sewing machine.

This is a delicate, decorative piece and is not intended for children to play with.
