In the past,I have been asked to provide a bird box in kit form. I have therefore decided to advertise them on Folksy. This one is for a robin or other similar bird that prefers an open fronted box, rather than a hole.
The one in the photograph is an example, yours will be close to that shown. It shows the finished item, don't forget, yours will be just the kit to make it.
The size is about 5" x 6" and 8" tall at the back.
It is made from plywood, I will supply all the panels of wood plus panel pins to nail them together. I would recommend that the pieces are glued as well as being pinned. (glue not supplied).
If you would prefer, I can supply it ready made for the same price.
These are popular for adults for give to children so that they can make them together, good for teaching children simple carpentry skills. I would suggest adult supervision if young children are involved.
Many of them have been sold to scout, guide, brownie, cub, beaver clubs for them to earn their carpentry or nature badges. I have even sold to schools and nurseries.
