Full description
freehand embroidered peace dove fabric notebook cover and A6 sketchbook.
this notebook features a little bird, in a red floral print liberty fabric. it has a bright red heart on its chest, and the wing and tail detail are in grey cotton linen. the tiny leaves decorating the branches are in coordinating fabrics.

the detail is drawn on freehand with free machine embroidery (free motion embroidery).
this cover is made entirely on a domestic sewing machine. everything is cut, stitched and handmade, with care, by me, ensuring each notebook cover is unique, well made and securely constructed.
the slipcover is made from heavy weight cotton calico which has been pre-washed several times so it’s soft and should not shrink.
the seams are overlocked and topstitched and the cover is stiffened with vilene.
the calico cover is washable and re-usable, simply replace the sketchbook when it's full.
the sketchbooks are manufactured in the UK. they are quality casebound hard cover books, containing 92 pages of 140gsm acid-free, all media cartridge paper. the books themselves measure approx. 15.5cm x 11cm
this A6 sketchbook is the perfect size for handbags and pockets, and would make a unique gift for anyone who likes to write or draw!
