These recycled washbags are really charming. They are made from 1940s Military Bivouac Tents we found languishing in a warehouse, many of which were stamped 1944 as a manufacture date. Each bag is totally individual with different seams, stamps, marks and stains. Some of them even have handstitched field repairs but all of this just adds to the character; they are marked from when they were used in action.

Full description

A simple sponge bag recycled from beautiful scraps of WWII Army bivouac tents.

They have a waterproof lining made from 1980s' Goretex which is also recycled in this case from modern army bivouac bags.

Each bag has a leather label detailing their unique heritage and a loop at the side so that the bag can be hung up when showering. It is fastened with a pair of brass press studs.
