An intermediate level beadweaving tutorial to make an elegant surround for a plastic retractable tape measure. Uses tubular peyote and circular netting, and a mix of seed beads, drops, pearls or glass druks, bicones and a central rivoli.
The tutorial includes materials listings, colour options, sources for materials (UK), and full written instructions with clear diagrams of every step. The PDF pattern will be sent to you via e-mail within 24 hours of payment clearing (usually much sooner, assuming it's not the middle of the night!).

As a beader who designs and sells largely to support my own out of control bead buying habit, I’m happy for you to make this design to sell (in small quantities only) so you can buy lots more beads (and tutorials), but please make sure you give me full credit as designer.
I made the original piece as part of a beading competition - we had to make a Chatelaine and one of the objects I included was a tape measure. The beading grew very naturally, and although it's a lot more extravagant than much of my other work, I was so happy with it I decided to make a tutorial.
