I was practising how to form different shapes on my lathe. I changed the used pieces of wood into something unique and different. A wine glass was born.

Full description
I turned a base and stem out of Zebrano wood to make a 8" high wine glass.
They are then sanded down with 600 grit sand paper
and oiled with a food safe oil to get the shine.
I take a wine glass and cut the base off. I then sink the top of
the glass into the wood.
Everything is glued using a waterproof poxy resin.
The glass needs to be hand washed after use.
Every now and again you need to use a cloth and rub
a bit of olive oil into the stem to maintain the wood.
The glass is unique because every bit of wood has
a unique grain so they can't be copied.
This will make the perfect gift for somebody that has everything.
