We are privileged to live adjacent to a lake, and our first thought when designing a garden was to include a large pond close to our house, with the hope of encouraging wildlife to visit. The experiment worked and soon the local kingfisher was a regular visitor, perching on the taller water plants before diving in pursuit of our goldfish.
