The Captive Bead weave is a variation of the Full Persian, allowing individual beads to be held securely, without having to link each bead individually on cord or wire. By forming a cage around each bead they can move freely, glistening in the light, making a statement whilst still looking delicate and dainty.
Each piece of chainmaille that I produce is unique, and if this style sparks your imagination and would like a custom piece created please let me know. I adore working with others to create stunning pieces of chainmail using a range of materials and techniques.

Using delicate chainmaille rings to hold shimmering beads prisoner is a beautiful way of bringing together two different materials. In the Captive Bead bracelet alternating Czech glass beads in a deep amethyst purple and a clear but iridescent aurora borealis are held safely between strong stainless steel rings.
The Captive Bead Chainmaille bracelet measures 0.3 inches wide and can be configured to your specific needs in terms of length. The bracelet is fastened with a stainless steel clasp and has a 1.5 inch extension chain for added flexibility.
