Full description
This is a beautiful, unusual statement ring featuring a large Ethiopian 4.06ct oval cut milky opal.
The gem has been simply set into a cast sterling silver basket ring mount.
The opaque stone is a warm milky or creamy shade - glinting with hints of red pin fire from within the stone in good light - please see photos. The large stone has been faceted - unusual for opal gems.
I have shown the ring in dull daylight and bright sun light to show you the true colours of the stone.
I have hand set the stone into a cast sterling silver mount and then finished and polished the ring by hand.
The stone itself measures 13 x 9.6 x 7.4 mm approx and the ring is a UK size O approx.
The ring is stamped 925 for sterling silver inside the band.
