Full description
This stunning 1.07ct Welo Opal from Ethiopia. It is a crystal opal, also known as a jelly opal. It is a natural gem and shimmers and shines with all the colours of the rainbow. Unfortunately, opals are the hardest gem to photograph, as the photographic process just seems to fade the colours seen by the naked eye.
The ring has a classic elegance that only an opal can bring to such a design. The ring itself is a cast sterling silver crown basket design with six prongs, making the most of the stunning gemstone display.
This amazing gem has been faceted - most unusual for opal. The stone has the most striking colour play, with bright green and peachy orange flashes.
The stone is quite large at 9x7mm. It makes quite a striking yet classic ring.
It is almost unheard of to find Welo Opal of any quality set into silver, so I hope you will enjoy wearing this one.
The ring is a UK size M 1/2 approx. according to my ring sizer.
The ring will come beautifully gift boxed, ready to be presented and will be securely packaged.
