Full description
Inspired by ancient cultures, I have designed this necklace to look like an archaeological treasure from millennia ago.
This beautiful necklace features stunning hand carved natural jade beads in shades of dark brown, light brown and cream. These have been spaced at intervals by sterling silver beads - please see photos.
The focal point of the necklace is a stunning, free form cut banded agate gemstone. This also has browns, creams and hints of green within the bands.
The pendant stone has an almost flame like pattern and is different and interesting on both sides. It can be worn either way round.
The pendant is fixed to the necklace by a sturdy, large sterling silver bail, stamped 925 for sterling silver. I have added gold vermeil to the bail, then buffed it away, just leaving a touch here and there, adding to the aged appearance of the design.
The necklace itself closes with a small toggle clasp - stamped 925 for sterling silver.
The necklace measures 58cm or 23 inches in length approx. excluding the pendant drop. The pendant measures 6.5cm x 3 cm approx from the top of the bail to the base of the gemstone. The pendant is a weighty, substantial piece.
