Full description
This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
A butterfly to the same design as my Rainbow version but in shades of pink - from light pink to cranberry shades.
I've made this for Petra so hope she likes it. For the deeper pinks I've used some of my fusing glass. Deep pink glass is not in plentiful supply, as it is very expensive.
The head is a vibrant pink glass nugget which I bought in France and it has curly hair just to make it a little bit quirky and little butterfly beads on the end of its antennae.
It looks absolutely beautiful hanging in the window where it catches the light and would make a lovely ornament for any room.
This also makes a super 'bird-scarer' as it will help to stop birds flying into windows.
The suncatcher hangs from a little chain which is securely attached to the top of the butterfly.
This item is absolutely individual. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass.
It is approximately 13.5 cm wide and 9 cm tall.
I can make this in any other colour that you might prefer.
The 5th photo is a collage of lots of Rainbow Butterflies, all now sold - so you can see that though made to the same design each is unique.
