I discovered this pair of wall sconces on my travels, not sure where they are from originally. They were very plain and boring but I knew instantly what I wanted to do with them. I thought they would look fab adorning the wall either side of a dressing table or headboard, and they seemed perfect for a delicate, feminine chinoiserie type effect.

A pair of pretty wall sconces with decoupage bird and flowers and glass holder.
I wanted these to have a delicate feminine feel and a slight chinoiserie effect which I think has been achieved, I hope you agree.
These have been entirely hand painted delicately distressed and decoupaged before finally several coats of acrylic varnish were applied to protect.
