A Bit of Earth is a multi-part project I have compiled for Earth Day, 2014, and also in homage to one of my all-time favourite books, The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett (1911). The Secret Garden features lots of beautiful imagery of gardens and growth, a life-affirming storyline and earth-friendly sentiments that are the perfect complement to Earth Day celebrations.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.
Please note that if your order is being posted outside mainland UK, you (or the recipient) may have to pay customs or VAT charges and a handling fee. The seller is not responsible for any charges or fees that may incur.

These pinback button badges have been made by upcycling pages from an old, rescued copy of The Secret Garden (otherwise destined for landfill). The pages are discoloured from age, adding to their charm. The reverse of the presentation card includes the classic 'bit of earth' quotation from the original novel.

- Each badge is unique, made from genuine old bookpages (not a scan or copy)
- Each badge has been hand-cut to feature either a name of one of the main characters (Mary, Dickon, Colin), a reference to the Robin, or Misselthwaite, or else to earth, seeds, planting, growing, flowers, the secret garden itself. If you have a specific preference, please include in 'note to seller' at checkout, or a badge will be chosen for you at random
- Badge measures approx. 1" diameter
- Badge is mounted on a hand-cut presentation card (approx. 2" x 3") & simply packaged in a self-seal cellophane packet.
- Not suitable for young children due to small/sharp parts.
