I have made sewn pin cushion on many occasions and I wanted to try making a pin cushion with yarn instead of fabric. I choose the green and white as these where two of the colours of yarn I had in my yarn scrap box and I thought they went well together.

A pretty little Pin Cushion hand knitted in three shades of green and white. The pin cushion is knitted with a variegated bright green and white yarn. This is then surrounded in a crochet border in a darker shade of green. Hand sewn onto one corner is a crochet white and bright green flower emblem. This has a dark green centred facetted bead. Into the centre of the pin cushion a large green button has been sewn with white button on the reserve side. Inside the pin cushion is a little green polyester and cotton bag filled with anti allergic polyester hollow fibre. The yarn is used to create this pin cushion is a mix of acrylic and wool.
The filling complies with the Furniture and Furnishing (Fire Safety) Regulations 1988.
