Writing in a book, like we do when filling in journal, this is just not how a book usually works. The structure is optimized for reading, not for writing.
I designed this DIY journal to facilitate writing in the book: Just like the medieval scribes did it, this book can be bound after it has been written.
Each bound book is made up of so called gatherings, folded sheets of paper. For this Journal those are bound such that you can write in them like in an exercise book. When done with writing, you can add it to your book.
Or it could be a great kit to learn to bind you very first book - and then give it away as a journal.
You have 14 days, from receipt, to notify the seller if you wish to cancel your order or exchange an item.
Unless faulty, the following types of items are non-refundable: items that are personalised, bespoke or made-to-order to your specific requirements; items which deteriorate quickly (e.g. food), personal items sold with a hygiene seal (cosmetics, underwear) in instances where the seal is broken; digital items.

Full description
This is a very special journal that will reach you in individual gatherings (each one is like an exercise book). It is up to you whether you fill the gatherings one by one - just like a scribe in the middle ages did- and bind the book slowly, one gathering at a time. Or whether you first built your blank journal and then use that as usual - or maybe give it away as a special gift.

o 6 bound gatherings (paper for the book)
o sewing thread for your book
o book binder's needle
Additional materials that you will need are a pair of scissors to cut the thread.
About the instructions:

The instructions are per default in English but are available in German upon request. It begins with a very brief historic overview, putting the binding style in its place in time. Then follow a detailed instructions explaining step by step how to complete the journal.

The instructions do contain information about how to construct your own book from scratch. Nevertheless, this is primarily a kit with instructions how to use the materials contained within. This is not an exhaustive instruction covering limp bindings in general.
