I was inspired to make purses by my sister who owns a teddy bear shop. For this one I particularly had her in mind because she has a love of bears. I have many small pieces of fabric to use and I have a love for machine embroidery. I will be exhibiting these purses at the Devon Bear Festival on Sunday 16th March 2014 at Newton Abbot Racecourse, 10.30-3.30. Hope to see you there.

Full description
I was inspired to make this purse by my Sister who has a love of teddies.
This one I made using a green and cream striped, upholstery weight fabric. The teddy has been made using dark brown and cream fabric pieces which I have sewn on using free-machine embroidery. His face has been finished with some cute, cream button eyes.
I have decorated the left hand side of the purse with a green, velvet ribbon and sewn 3 pretty, different sized, buttons onto it.
The lining inside is made using a black and white, botanical print fabric.
Cream zipper closure. Width 15cm x height 12cm.
All of the fabrics used have been recycled from discontinued fabric books.
