I was inspired to make purses by my sister who owns a teddy bear shop. For this one I particularly had her in mind because she has a love of pandas and bears. I have many small pieces of fabric to use and I have a love for machine embroidery. I will be exhibiting these purses at the Devon Bear Festival on Sunday 16th March 2014 at Newton Abbot Racecourse, 10.30-3.30. Hope to see you there.

Full description
I was inspired by my sister to make this purse as she has a love for pandas and bears.
This one I made using a beautiful, textured, pink, upholstery weight fabric. The cute panda I have made using black and cream textured fabric and used free-machine embroidery to sew him to the front of the purse. I have also added tiny little black seed beads for his eyes.
The edge of the purse, at the front is also decorated with a black velvet ribbon and 3 slightly different pink buttons.
The lining is made using a pink, white, green and beige striped fabric which tones in well with the purse.
All of the fabrics used have been recycled from discontinued fabric books.
Burgundy zipper closure with black ribbon detail. Width 14.5cm x height 13cm.
