I had a few old sketchbooks with interesting paper and I'd also collected some old maps with not much notion of what to do with them but then I got on the idea of making a book, so I went on a one day course and learnt how to hand stitch a book. And then I was hooked!
Its great to work with a different material as I normally work with fabric and I've really enjoyed making a series of these notebooks each using different recycled papers mixed with good cartridge paper for sketching or writing.
I hope people enjoy using them as much as I enjoyed making them!

Eco-Friendly Leather Journal.
This hand-stitched soft-cover journal has been lovingly made from offcuts of leather.
The cover is lined with an old Ordinance Survey map of Weymouth, it also has a clever pen holder and closes with a snap fastener.
It contains 80 pages (160 sides) of 120gm cartridge paper.
Would make a great travel journal, with room to add in tickets, photos, etc. A lovely gift.
Size: A6 - W11.5 x H15.5cm (NB: pencil is not included)
