Full description
A small, stoneware vase with a matte iron ochre-ash glaze and hand-painted dot decoration. Hand thrown on the wheel and the sides squared off with a wooden paddle, the piece measures approx. 3.75 inches tall and 3 inches wide. Weight is roughly 265g. The base has been trimmed by hand and the edges of the footring deliberately distressed to give it an ancient look.
Mark Smalley's personal symbol has been impressed to the underside.
The vase has been fired to around 1285 degrees centigrade and is fully waterproof.
