A durable utility fabric, ticking has quite ancient origins, traditionally used for mattresses and pillows, the close woven threads helped to stop feathers or straw poking out.

Hard-wearing cotton apron with red herringbone ties and a large front pocket. A good all-rounder, this apron is equally useful for the home and craft studio. Ticking is a lovely traditional fabric that, like denim, still looks good after years of washing.
I design and make work aprons, in my studio in hilly-leafy SE London - each one carefully designed and made to last, with meticulous attention to detail and finish. 'Counter-industrial' - genuine contemporary craft - no factories, or sweatshops.
SIZE: Small-Large. measurements 82.5cm from top of bib to hem; 70.5 cm wide-between ties; 81cm wide across bottom hem.
FABRIC: cotton/polyester ticking stripe fabric (natural cotton colour fabric with blue/black stripe) - red woven ties (polyester/acrylic)
CARE: Washable at 40 degrees. Not suitable for tumble drying. Wash with similar colours.
POSTAGE: FREE UK POSTAGE. Royal Mail First Class 'Sign for' (tracked).
Gift wrapped & boxed. Paper/card packaging from sustainable forest 100% recyclable. Paper parcel tape with plant based adhesive. Twine and parcel tape 100% biodegradable.
