Physalis are stunning in the winter with their shiny bright lanterns, but underneath nature moves on and the papery orange soon gives way to a delicate fine skeleton. In this cage lies the fruit until one day the cage splits and the seed falls and it all starts over again.

Original lino cut print - Physalis - Chinese Lanterns
Free P&P for UK buyers
This is an original reduction lino print printed with a soft green background and striking red and orange lanterns. A limited edition of 24. The printed area measures approximately 20x30cm. This print is supplied in a white mount to fit a 30x40cm frame (other sizes are available).
These items are hand-printed and so vary slightly depending on ink density, character of the paper, pressure of the press and the way the wind blows (ok, maybe not the last bit).
This item will be carefully packed, re-using materials where possible and posted First Class Signed For for UK destinations and Airmail small packet for overseas delivery. Thank you.
Please note copyright remains with the artist, Alison Deegan 2013. The watermark does not appear on the actual print.
