The floral designs on my panels are made by impressing real plants and flowers I grow either in my garden or find in the countryside. I never take protected or endangered plants. They are mostly weeds that I use - they tend to be the most interesting and I only take a sprig or leaf at a time and always choose ones that are already broken or damaged.

Handmade stoneware ceramic wall hanging / decorative panel.
Approximate size 12 x 16 cm...........4 3/4 x 6 1/4 inch, 0.8 cm....... 1/4 thickness
Impressed with wild flowers and plants that I grow in my garden or find whilst walking around the countryside in the south of the UK. Decorated in cool earthy and natural tones using recycled glass.
The decoration I use on these panels is a technique I have been experimenting and developing for years now. By mixing different oxides, glazes and recycled glass a unique and textural surface is created. The plant's delicate silhouettes are finely highlighted and a smooth satin like appearance is present on the surface of the clay.
The recycled glass adds an element of shimmer and the natural tones and colours of the glass mix and melt to create exquisite rainbows and colour puddles!
Each panel comes secure with rustic twine for hanging. As I initially made these to be like pictures for outside they are frost proof and can be kept in the garden all year round. They equally look wonderful in the home hanging on the wall or any other place you can think of!
The adjustable string makes for a versatile art piece and with using individual plants and flower designs each panel is unique and special !
