Full description
A very pretty pincushion, carefully created from vintage table linen, and carefully rescued vintage lace, combined with new hand embroidery, using vintage flax floss, trimmed with three vintage buttons.
The top of the pincushion is cut from a vintage ecru table napkin. A cream, scalloped edged corner has been cut from a vintage table mat and appliqued to the linen. The applique has been embellished with three vintage buttons and edged with lace carefully harvested from a vintage antimacassar. A daisy motif has been hand embroidered in vintage flax floss on the diagonally opposite corner. The back of the pincushion is cream felt, produced from recycled plastic bottles. The top and back panel are blanket stitched together using an ecru crochet cotton.
The pincushion is filled with polyester wadding.
