I love anything to do with the sea, in particular seahorses, and this piece is inspired by a large wall hanging my husband and I bought while on honeymoon in Cornwall (many years ago!). I made the beaded seahorse first and couldn't decide between turning it into a necklace or a brooch - in the end I decided on both!

Full description
This seahorse necklace has been handmade by forming the silver plated wire into shape, hammering it for strength and has then been filled with the most gorgeous shimmery picasso finished turquoise beads, with a teeny little copper bead for an eye. I have added a handmade brooch pin to the back, then threaded through a fine silver plated chain which is easily removable, making this a really versatile piece of jewellery. This would make a lovely one of a kind gift for any seaside lover!
The seahorse measures 7cm (2.75") in length and 3.5cm (1.25") across at the widest point. The chain length is 18" but hangs slightly shorter due to the positioning of the brooch back. The final picture shows the brooch back and how the chain is threaded through.
The seahorse necklace will arrive gift boxed ready for giving, or to keep for yourself!
