Hare seem to me very noble and shy creatures. They are always linked to magical stories and seem to have a certain mystery about them. Occasionally I have seen them darting across the dry corn fields in rural Essex out in the distance.
I love their elusiveness and wanted to capture their greatness.

A noble "Brown Hare" in amongst the seed heads and delicate flowers.
The image is made up from separate layers of watercolour paper which are worked onto with watercolour and gouache, then each cut into to reveal the layer underneath.
Made with beautiful British, St.Cuthberts Mil paper.
The piece measures 24x30cm and is offered for sale Unframed.
It will be sent out in a wrapped and securely packed up in cardboard.
Price includes postage within the UK and will be sent Royal Mail next day signed for.
