The original painting for this was done from my observations of tropical fish at Heritage Aquatics in Surrey.
The fish were appliqued onto a kimono as part of a group project with the Surrey Branch of the Guild of Silk Painters. We painted the silk for the kimono.
Lavender is from my local lavender field, Cannas from my garden and Monet's garden was painted from a visit there.
