Full description
This is a stained glass suncatcher entirely handmade using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
I have designed this specially for Halina.
A Dodo, extinct bird, which I have made to match colours from a picture supplied by Halina.
The beak is yellow and orange, the body green in textured glass to give a feathery effect and with teal highlights. I've used little beads for eyes and wire for the feet and hands.
The Dodo is 5 inches by 4 and.hangs from a little chain which is securely attached to the top.
This item is absolutely unique. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass. Every one is different.
My suncatchers make super presents and are also really good when hanging in french or conservatory windows to stop the birds flying into the glass.
All photos are of this Dodo as it is the first I've made to this rather unique design.
