I made fifty of these cards a few years back, with the intention of selling them at toddler groups and the like. I used to do this pretty frequently when my children were smaller, with my ‘old lady’ trolley. However, in the end I didn’t get my act together before Valentine’s Day, and then promptly forgot about them.
I would really like to sell them off, as they have my old contact details sewn onto the back, and also they are taking up valuable cupboard space.
The hearts are made from a battered old copy of Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte which I bought when Lewisham Library was having a clear out. Unfortunately, I didn’t make a note of any publishing details.
Each heart is sewn onto recycled card, and has a recycled envelope.
This listing is for one card, which measures 14cms x 14cms.
It has been left blank inside for your own message, so it's not necessarily a 'Valentine' card.
Please be aware that each card is made from a different page of the book, so you may not receive the one in the image. However, I have taken care to ensure that either Jane or Mr Rochester is mentioned in the text, making the book recognisable.
If you have any questions, please give me a shout,
Alison
