Full description
This is a stained glass suncatcher handmade using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
It is a star, a very sparkly star.
I've designed it with 8 diamond shaped points made from iridescent clear glass and at the centre an amber streaked dichroic glass nugget in the centre which I made in my little Hotpot fusing kiln.
The iridescent glass gives the star a shimmer.
For extra sparkle I've soldered 8 little silvery snowflakes between each point.
The star is 9.5cm in diameter and hangs from a silvery chain securely attached via a soldered wire ring to the top of the star.
This item is totally individual. I never make two pieces exactly the same, I always use slightly different colours and textures of glass. I can make this in different colours if you prefer. Please send me a message if you do.
My suncatchers are for all year round, they don't need to be put away when the festive season is over.
The lst photo also shows the centre as it looks with the light on it, rather than behind it. This is the nighttime view, quite a magical change.
The 4th photo shows this star (bottom left) with 2 others also for sale, with the light on them so you can see the magical colour change effect.
The 5th photo shows other stars I have made to this design, each is different as the dichroic centre in each is unique.
