The upper floor stair window of my studio building has a great view to the west, I've taken many sunset and cloud study photographs from there. When I saw the bird looking down I didn't have my camera on me and when I photographed the sunset, there wasn't a Metropolitan Line train snaking between the trees, but with a little imagination and artistic licence -it all comes together.

A large black raven looks down from a rooftop chimney stack onto the street below. Street lamps are illuminated but the scene is flooded with rich vibrant colours of the sunset.
This is based on a west-facing view from the upper floor of my studio building where there are often fabulous sunsets.

This is a limited edition lino cut print no. 3 of only 7. The edition size was kept small as this was an experiment to see how well I could print lino this large with my press. However, although a 'reduction' lino cut method was used, the image was designed so that the final printing (everything black) works well as an image on its own, so I may print it and hand colour at a later date.
