An original hand cut and pressed lino print of a fearful stallion angered at being corralled. The grey triangle in the background is screen printed and helps to create the illusion of the horse being spotlighted in a shaft of moonlight.

Cut, printed and signed by me - the artist.

As a child, as with many young girls, I adored horses. Now that I am older I find that I am more wary in their presence. I am in awe of their power, strength, beauty and speed but can still appreciate their beauty and gentleness amongst people who are kind to them.
The inspiration for this print came from a charcoal sketch of a wild stallion, fearful and angry at being herded off the moors. The original sketch had far more fear in the eyes but I hope that I have managed to include more of the pride and strength of the horse in my print.
