A solid walnut jewellery box,handmade in my 200 yr old Norfolk workshop, the top being veneered with walnut curl and a black and boxwood inlay. I have inserted pieces of boxwood in the corners of the box not only as a feature but also to strengthen the mitres.There are 2 partitioned trays and along with the bottom are lined with a light beige suede/like material. The lid is hinged with brass quadrant hinges,it measures 240 mm x 135 mm x 70 mm. and is hand polished with shellac and wax to a silky smooth finish. it would make an excellent 5th (wood)anniversary gift.
