Full description
This Jewellery Box is the largest in my collection, it is made from reclaimed solid mahogany with a figured sycamore veneered top with an Art Deco style pattern inlaid with purpleheart and bog oak. As a feature and for added strength I have inserted small keys of sycamore on the 4 corners of the box.
There are three layers , the bottom layer is open and is the overall size of the box , the middle layer is a tray the overall size of the box partitioned into various sizes , the top layer comprises of 3 separate trays partitioned to accommodate various sizes of jewellery. all three layers are lined in a lavender coloured suede/like material.
The lid is hinged with the "Smarthinge" a top of the range brass hinge. (Made in Great Britain)
The box measures 300mm x 160mm x 100mm and is hand polished with shellac and wax finished to a silky smooth finish.
