Originally used in a number of countries (including Turkey and Greece) these strong old metal baskets were often used as olive or grape baskets or even for shellfish! This perforated metal basket/bucket can serve a multitude of purposes from storage to display - both indoors and out.
Although I have done some restoration (basically steel wool to remove much of the rust and then wax/oil to give it some lovely lustre) this is old and used so subsequently has some surface rust marks, bashes and dings... all adding to its charm and history. Base and handles are as strong now as when first used. Great for garden use, unique bin to display wares - and with a plastic bucket inside looks fabulous filled with flowers or even a little tree!
