This is one of a set of coasters designed to celebrate the Tour de France coming to Yorkshire in 2014. Each coaster depicts cyclists racing through Yorkshire scenery. This image depicts Leeds, the beginning of the Tour, it shows the Town Hall where the race started and the Art Gallery. The cyclists are leaving Leeds and heading in to the Yorkshire hills.
The designs are a combination of hand drawing and computer work and all my own.
Each coaster is made from glass and 3.5" square. The designs are fused in to the coasters and can't be scratched off. Each coaster has tiny 'bumpon' feet to protect your surfaces.
As a keen cyclist who has cycled many of the Tour de France cols and much of the Yorkshire route I am very excited about the Tour coming to Yorkshire next year. It will pass very close to our house and I will be on the side lines waving.
