Fin du Monde was a Cabaret in Paris at the beginning of the 20th Century. This wonderful brooch shows promotional artwork from the time. It's the end of the world and men and women are trying to escape by firing themselves in a cannon towards the moon, jumping off with balloons attached to their waists and cramming themselves into fantastical spacecrafts. Truly whimsical.
The image is printed onto clay and coated with a layer of waterproof glaze. The pendant is about 3.5cm x 2.5cm.
The pendant hangs from a silver plated spring bail.
