These were inspired by lots of different sources, trips to the beach, oysters, paper. I wanted to capture fragility, nature and simplicity in an item, then I realised it glowed beautifully with candlelight!
The making process was...
-Hand shaping from porcelain
-Drying
-Bisque firing to 1070 degrees
-Cooling
-Glazing
-Glaze fire to 1260 degrees
-Cooling again
