I wanted to use a motif that I had in a different way and in a different context and using a slightly different method for attaching the beads. I thought that using the pearl beads to make the star motif would create a beautiful contrast with the purple, berry wool. I also wanted to make a practical, yet pretty purse with a zip closure.

Full description
A berry coloured, handknitted purse with a star design on one side. The star design is created from pearl beads. The purse is lined with purple polycotton fabric and closes with a zip fastening. It measures approx 12cm wide by 8.5cm tall. The internal dimensions are approx 11.5cm by 8cm. The purse is knitted in a 4ply knitting cotton and is hard wearing.
