Full description
A stunning, rare form of Agate, with turquoise, brown and blue markings is the centre piece and inspiration for this lovely necklace.
The Agate is rectangular in shape and has a translucency to it. I have created a double strand necklace, using Black Onyx chips, African Turquoise rectangles and round Mahogany Obsidian gems, all hand knotted for fluidity and movement.
The necklace was designed to have the two strands of gems twisted together when worn, but can be worn untwisted if you prefer. The design has a informal, almost tribal feel to the piece.
The pendant is attached by a sturdy yet simple fluted sterling silver bail, which has been hand polished and finished. The necklace closes with a brushed finish sterling silver magnetic clasp. Both the bail and the clasp are stamped 925 for sterling silver.
Please note that people fitted with electrical medical devices or who are pregnant are not advised to wear magnets.
The necklace measures 23 inches in length approx. before being twisted, with the focal stone dropping a further 2 inches from the body of the necklace itself. The necklace can be worn at a shorter length by twisting the strands to the desired length.
