MADE TO ORDER - Please allow up to 10 days for me to make a little Leonard especially for you x
Leonard is trying to be brave. Today he is performing with the big lions and tigers in the Big Top for the first time.
He tells me he doesn't feel so well. He has a fluttering feeling in his tummy that won't go away. I tell him that they are the tiny butterflies which will help him to leap even higher during the performance.
Leonard seems a little happier now, especially when I tell him that I saw the rehearsal and he was truly wonderful.
"Was I really?" he asks shyly.
"Most certainly" I smile, " I think you take after your great, great grandfather Leonard the Magnificent".
Leonard joins the other lions and tiger with a little hop and a bounce in his step.
"Good luck", I whisper as he disappears into the Big top.
Leonard is a little lion made from velveteen and mounted on vintage Meccano wheels. He stands about 13cm tall and measures about 15cm from his nose to his tail. He has tiny light amber traditional English glass eyes and stands very proudly on vintage Meccano wheels.
He was stitched on an old Singer treadle sewing machine and is intended as a collectors item. He is not suitable for children.
