Full description
Red and gold fabric scraps have been appliqued, by machine, to a bright red piece of background felt, to form the cover for this needle book. Patches of background felt have been left uncovered and these have been hand embroidered using a red cotton thread and metallic gold embroidery thread. Four trimming flowers have been added as further embellishment.
The needlebook is lined in the red floral print fabric which is featured on the cover, backed with iron-on interfacing. Two pieces of red felt are folded and securely stitched in place using red crochet thread, to provide four 'pages' for your needles and pins. The needlecase closes with a bow tied in crocheted cords produced from a pure wool yarn in bright red.
