This bracelet is made from small nuggets of Seaham sea glass. They range from white to pale aqua to aqua, they are about 1.5 - 2 cm at largest . They have been drilled by me and strung with these 'cornflake' ceramic beads with silver lustre and a few ceramic silver seed beads. The toggle fastening is about 9mm and sterling silver.
It is 21 cm long but as it is quite bulky needs to be a bit longer, so this is about medium sized.
The glass is from Scotland and Seaham in County Durham, where a lot of English sea glass comes from. There was a bottle factory there which used to dump into the sea, now much of this is collected and used for jewellery and crafts. The factory closed over 100 years ago.
All silver is European standard from a bullion dealer in Birmingham.
Items will normally be packaged in bubble wrap, tissue paper and a beautiful organza bag, with a few dried rose petals then in a padded envelope. I also include a handmade card (pictured) which gives you some information about sea glass and where your sea glass came from. I am happy to include a card or box if it is for a gift.
For environmental reasons I reuse padded envelopes, for this reason I only charge the postage. I send 1st class recorded.
Thanks for looking.
