This lovely little fellow is based on the hare in one of my previous wallhangings, the famous "Mad March Hare". A predominantly solitary and nocturnal creature, he is little seen except during his 'Mad March' behaviour, when hares are often witnessed "boxing" one another as part of their courtship. This one, based on our native Brown Hare, looks rather docile as he pauses from grazing by moonlight, to sniff the chill spring air around him.

A5 Notebook with hand-felted cover in 'Hare' design
The cover of this A5 hardcover notebook (80pp, narrow lined, 70gsm) has been wet-felted using pre-dyed Merino wools (with just a hint of silk) onto a base of grey Suffolk Wool. The central motif is cut from hand-carded, pre-felt in gentle shades of pink-purple. The finished felt is hand embroidered and lightly embellished with tiny glass seed beads (-each one double-stitched for added security). The notebook has a fine black ribbon for page marking, and is tied with a teal-blue ribbon.
Please note: this item is totally hand-felted, and so will not be as even as commercial felt. It will, however, continue to felt with handling and use, to produce a very tactile item, soft to the touch.
Your Notebook will be wrapped in acid-free tissue paper for transit.
