Precious Metal Clay - or PMC is a very enjoyable medium to work with and although some results can be hit and miss once a design enters the kiln, when it works, the results can be unusual and very effective. I love this organic yet modern design and plan to make similar items in the future.

Full description
This is a completely handmade set of earrings and pendant, in fine silver which is 999 parts per 1000 pure precious metal.
I have crafted the pieces using precious metal clay. The clay is cut to size and shape, following my own, modern design. The clay sections were allowed to dry naturally for several weeks, before being carefully sanded to smooth the edges and some of the surfaces. Once the items were finished, I then set the CZ Stones in an organic manner, trying to give the jewellery texture. The clay was left to dry naturally again, before being fired.
The firing process removes any clay minerals, leaving 999 pure silver. Once fired the jewellery was polished by hand, using several grades of abrasives for several hours then burnished to a soft polish sheen. I mounted the sections for the earrings onto sterling silver ear wires, stamped 925 for sterling silver and the pendant on a sterling silver bail - also stamped 925.
The jewellery maintains markings that denote it being hand made - this was deliberate as I wanted to keep the organic flow of the jewellery in the finished pieces.
The earrings measure: 30mm in length approx . and the pendant measures 32mm in length approx, including the bail. The pendant does not come supplied with a chain.
The jewellery set will come securely packaged.
