I wanted to make a classic necklace with a twist. This is really beautiful and the moonstone was just crying out to be put with the white pearls. It is one of my favourite pieces that I've made and the photos do not do it justice.

This beautiful white cultured pearl and rainbow moonstone short necklace has a silver clasp. The necklace measures 17 and a half inches (45 cm) long. This necklace uses real pearls and real rainbow moonstone gemstones. There are 18.5 cts of rainbow moonstone in this necklace. It could be worn at a wedding, by the bride, or on that special night. Ideal for a gift.

Pearl is the birthstone for June, and represents the 30th wedding anniversary. Rainbow Moonstone is the modern birthstone for June. Moonstone is regarded as a 'holy' gemstone in India, and is used to give the wearer beautiful dreams. In Arabian cultures it is seen as a sign of fertitlity. Romans used this gemstone as early as 100 AD. It is now associated with the art nouveau movement. The necklace would be ideal as a present for that special somebody or for a wedding.

The necklace will be presented in a gift box.
